GENERAL
1. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to amend the Rules and Regulations without giving prior notification or any reasons thereof by displaying at any means of communication that may be deemed appropriate by Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya.
2. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to use any photographs, motion pictures, recordings, or any other records of the Event for any legitimate purposes, including commercial advertising.
3. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to limit and refuse entries without assigning any reasons thereof.
4. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya will not be responsible for any disputes arising from incomplete entry details.
5. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to change the event date or venue at their own discretion.
6. The Event Director’s decision shall be final and conclusive and no correspondences queries, appeals or protests will be entertained.
REGISTRATION
1. Completion of the official entry form, including online registration, confirms the Participant’s agreement to abide by these Rules and Regulations.
2. This Event is open to all.
3. Varna Run 2020 can be cancelled or postponed at any time without prior notice to the Participants, in which case they will make an effort to inform the participant prior to the date of the event. If Varna Run 2020 has been cancelled or postponed, there will be no refund of registration fees.
4. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya not in any circumstances be liable for any loss or damage incurred by the Entrant or Winner in relation to the Event.
RACE
1. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to amend Varna Run 2020 race routes as they deem fit for the safety of the participants and to prevent any potential hazards in the running of the event, at any time without prior notice to the participant.
2. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to delay the commencement of the run in the event of inclement weather. Should the inclement weather persist after the delay, The Organizer reserves the right to cancel the race without refund of registration fees.
3. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya shall not be liable for any other loss or inconvenience caused due to such changes.
4. No pets or any form of wheel-run objects or transport e.g. inline skate, prams, shoes with built-in or attached rollers is allowed on the course during the race except officials’ race and medical vehicles are allowed on the race route.
5. Participants are required to wear bib number at the back of t-shirt during the event. Participants without the allocated bib number may not be allowed to take part in the run.
6. Twelfth Residential College, University of Malaya reserves the right to replace any winners if he/she is found to be disqualified.
7. Participants who do not start in 30 minutes from the respective flag off point will be disqualified for safety reasons and may not be allowed to restart.
8. Participant who is found to commit unsportsmanlike conduct that includes but not limited to the blocking, obstructing other Participants and/or the run course, will be automatically disqualified from the Race.
9. Participants shall not perform any act that can cause a delay to the Race such as dancing, performing, playing instruments, standing near the start or finish lines, or in the streets along the course
10. For appeal over disputes, prize winners or possible prize winners, must be present and made on-site in person to the race official, in a written format, within 15 minutes from the prize presentation, whichever is earlier. All appeals are subjected to a non- refundable RM100.00 appeal fee (if any).
SAFETY
1. All participants must follow the rules and instructions given by the race director, staff, volunteers, medical staff and law enforcement.
2. Participant understand and acknowledge that Varna Run 2020 is an event which is associated with physical effort and entails the natural risk of accidents, injuries and physical injuries (including death), as well as damages and losses of property.
3. All participants must be in good physical condition. The race is not advised for people that have any medical conditions. All competitors must also inform the Medical Team of any illness or injury that occurs during or in conjunction with the event.
4. Participants assume all responsibility for any and all medical expenses incurred during the event.
