ABOUT
World Radiography Day is celebrated on 8th November anually. This 8th November is being chosen in conjunction with the discovery of x-rays by Wihelm Röentgen in 1895.
X-rays are widely used in medicine including treating cancer. Therefore, Diagnostic Imaging & Radiotherapy UKM is organizing Roentgen Run 5.0 to celebrate together the World Radiography Day 2019. Meanwhile, the 18.95km was chosen as the discovery of x-ray is in the year of 1895.
The theme raised in this issue is #survivor. The goal is to celebrate cancer survivors in order to continue living. In addition, some of the participation fee will be donated to the charities.
