ABOUT
This year, SMK Dato' Ali Haji Ahmad is celebrating its Golden Jubilee Anniversary. In conjunction with this grand celebration, we have listed many activities throughout the whole year for one main objective, that is to raise fund for a school hall. A major jubilee program ranging from educational to motivational activities, sports campaign as well as a fundraising dinner night are planned in order to raise fund for our school's dream to have our very own open hall after 50 years of its existence. The school is currently in dire need to have a proper place for school assembly and gatherings to cater for 1724 students and 138 teachers and staff for all school activities.
The school is the only one in Pontian District without a hall even when we own the biggest enrolment in town. Sad but true!
SDAHA Semicentennial Golden Fun Run is a running event that will take place on September 16, 2019 in honouring also the Malaysia Day Celebration. We hope to gather more crowd having it scheduled that day as we are trying to make them run for a better health as well as running for a good course - fundraising for a school hall.
The fun run will set in the beautiful scenic Pontian seaside area in the heart of the town circling the Taman Diraja Pontian and is also going to involve other schools as we are going to collaborate with the state and district education department to open invitation for their students to join under the state/district level participation that allows them to earn certificate for their extra merit in their co-curriculum activities under the PAJSK policy.
The success of this fun run depends on the help that we need from all local institutions and companies, as well as the community near and far. Help us help our students get what they deserve - An Open Hall.
